About Mississippi Interactive

In December 2010, the State of Mississippi awarded a contract to Mississippi Interactive for the development of eGovernment services. The current contract is for a term of five years with three potential 2-year renewals and allows MSI to develop innovative online services for state agencies, boards and commissions. As the contract was competitively bid through the State’s procurement process, government entities can engage MSI for eGovernment services without needing to issue new RFPs. The primary goal of Mississippi Interactive is to positively transform the relationships between citizens and government by using the Internet to provide a more efficient method for obtaining information and services.

Traditionally, Mississippi Interactive’s business model is based on a self-funded approach where we build applications at no up front cost. In exchange, we receive a market accepted transaction fee each time a service is accessed. Mississippi Interactive’s self-funded business model allows the State of Mississippi to provide a wealth of eGovernment services without the use of any appropriated tax dollars. We are committed to being our customer’s best partner by delivering a solution that not only is easy to use, but also exceeds their expectations.

Mississippi Interactive, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIC, the largest provider of official web sites, online services and secure payment processing solutions for state and local government entities across the United States.
